Inside the First Back THe Team “Train With Me” Session: Live with Nick PAge in Park City

This weekend marked a milestone moment for Back The Team — our first-ever “Train With Me” session, at the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Center of Excellence in Park City, Utah.

As the countdown to Milan 2026 is in its final 100 days, Olympian Nick Page, one of Back The Team’s inaugural mentors, opened the doors to his home training ground to welcome one of his September mentorship athletes, Oliver Lacey, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In September, Nick led a month-long Back The Team mentorship cohort, where he shared insider lessons on mindset, performance, and perseverance with dozens of young moguls athletes nationwide.

Reflecting on the experience, Nick said:

“I was a mentor for Back The Team in the month of September and it was awesome. It was really fun to create a community, meet a whole bunch of new people, and share some of my secrets to the next up-and-coming athletes. We're out here in my home right now, this is our U.S. Ski Team training center called the Center of Excellence. And today we have an athlete from my cohort, Oliver Lacey, who is coming to train with me. It should be pretty fun. We're ramping up for the Olympics and this is where we live at our home gym.”

Oliver had the rare opportunity to train side-by-side with Nick, witnessing firsthand how one of the world’s best prepares for the biggest stage.

“This experience today was such a highlight,” Oliver shared. “Nick is an athlete who approaches moguls with such a strategic way of thinking and it has been really cool to go behind-the-scenes and see his point of view. Learning how he prepares for big competitions…clearing his mind in the gate and getting into flow states…has meant the world to me.”

And when asked if he had a message for other young athletes thinking about joining Back The Team, Oliver didn’t hesitate:

“Do it. It’s worth every penny. It’s fun and I’ve learned so much.”

Moments like these capture what Back The Team is all about: building real connections between the next generation of athletes and world class athletes who have walked the path before them.

Through Back The Team mentorship and inspiration, young athletes gain access not just to elite training philosophies but to the mindset and heart of the Olympic journey itself.
