A two-time Olympian (2014, 2018), Philippe climbed rapidly after being named “FIS Freestyle Rookie of the Year” early in his career. He went on to rack up major accomplishments, highlighted by 13 World Cup podiums and 2 World Cup victories.

But Philippe’s story isn’t just about medals. After battling through serious shoulder surgeries early on (and later a right-knee ACL tear just before the 2018 Olympics) he’s proven his grit time and time again by pushing through to compete with excellence at the highest level.

Philippe now chairs the Canadian Olympic Committee Athlete Commission and has pivoted into coaching. He brings a rare combination of elite-level experience and life lessons to the next generation of aspiring skiers. As a mentor this January with Back The Team, young athletes will learn what it takes to navigate adversity, compete with confidence, and dream big.
